AI document automation for corporate workflows

OfficeMaker lets an organisation generate and automate native Microsoft Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) files from business data, applications, workflows and AI assistants. It is document middleware. The model works with a live schema and structured JSON — a representation language models are already highly familiar with — and OfficeMaker validates that state, then reads, filters, calculates, renders and writes the Office file. Teams receive a normal Office document they can review, store and edit.

What can OfficeMaker automate?

The same generation stack covers the documents organisations already repeat: proposals and tender responses, management reports, board and management packs, financial workbooks, PowerPoint briefing decks, customer documents, structured forms and recurring document packs. Where a Salesforce entitlement is enabled, a CRM record can supply fields and receive the finished file. Signed-in Form Filler can complete an existing form from organisation data after a person maps the fields.

Automations keep the document pattern stable while customer, deal, case or period data changes. OfficeMaker authors structure — styles, sheets, formulas and slide layouts defined by the live schema — and validates the payload before the file is built.

  • Proposals, tender responses and customer documents in Word
  • Management packs, trackers and financial workbooks in Excel
  • Briefing and pitch decks in PowerPoint
  • Recurring packs from a form, schedule, API or entitled CRM event
  • Structured forms through signed-in Form Filler

How it works

A run starts from business data: a form, a CRM record, an API or webhook payload, a scheduled job, or an assistant that has already selected the relevant facts. That input becomes structured document state for the Word, Excel or PowerPoint schema. OfficeMaker validates the payload. Middleware then constructs the native Office file. Where you have configured it, the file continues to approval, tenant storage, Microsoft 365, or back to the CRM record.

The architecture is schema → structured JSON → validation → OfficeMaker middleware → native Office file. JSON and similar structured text are extensively represented in modern language-model training corpora, so this gives the model a familiar structured representation and reduces the low-level Office Open XML it must reason about. The design is meant to align with how these models work. It can improve predictability and reduce failure surfaces. It does not guarantee a better document on every run.

Business data → structured document state → validation → OfficeMaker middleware → native Office file → approval, storage or delivery where configured.

Why the architecture matters in a corporate environment

Repeatability comes from a fixed schema and a saved automation, so Monday’s pack and Friday’s pack share styles, sheet roles and slide layouts. Validation runs before file construction, which keeps guessed fields from becoming silent layout drift. Reasoning stays with the assistant. Rendering, parsing and deterministic calculation stay with OfficeMaker.

Because middleware holds the file work, the model can receive the relevant structured state rather than an entire source workbook, a long document-rendering program, or a loop of screenshots. That can reduce unnecessary context, prompt size, generated code, repeated image review, token consumption and debugging loops. Any saving is workflow-specific. The published comparison is an illustration, not a universal rate.

Governance follows from the same split. Versioned automations, run history and predictable Office Open XML outputs give operations a file format Microsoft Office already opens. People still approve commercial, legal and financial statements before they leave the organisation.

Corporate templates and branding

Organisation work is strongest when the pattern is reused. Word generation uses styles and heading structure so later edits and tables of contents still behave in Microsoft Word. Excel generation can include multiple sheets, tables, formulas, number formats and, where the live Excel schema supports them, named ranges, charts, data validation, conditional formatting, freeze panes and sheet protection. PowerPoint generation uses slide layouts and can carry slide-master structure defined in the schema.

Paid document-service tenants can merge keyed replacements into an existing Office file or apply sequential edits. Template libraries belong to the organisation. The public free MCP server creates new files from schema-led JSON. It does not merge into a corporate template.

Workflow integration

On an organisation tenant, a document run can start from a website form, an API or webhook call, a schedule, or an MCP call from an assistant. Entitled Salesforce deployments can map object fields into the same playbook and attach the finished Word, Excel or PowerPoint file to the record. Workflows can require human approval before issue, assigned to a person or, where configured, to a Microsoft, Cognito or Google directory group.

OfficeMaker does not publish a native Zapier, Make or n8n connector. A team that already uses one of those products can call the HTTP API from their own integration. The public free MCP server does not register scheduled jobs, organisation workflows or CRM write-back.

Where you configure an HTTP connection, a workflow can hand off toward the e-signature provider you already use. OfficeMaker stores the connection. It does not replace that provider.

SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft 365

When someone connects Microsoft 365, OfficeMaker can deliver a finished file to that person’s OneDrive, and a workflow can load a source document from OneDrive or SharePoint through Microsoft Graph. A workflow can target a SharePoint folder. The paid document service can also save a generated file into Microsoft Graph, Google Drive or Dropbox through the provider-file API.

That is connected storage and delivery for files OfficeMaker has produced or is updating. SharePoint remains the organisation’s content platform. The anonymous free sandbox does not include this Microsoft 365 path.

AI assistants

ChatGPT, Claude, another MCP client, or a corporate model can fetch the live schema and submit structured JSON. OfficeMaker remains the deterministic document layer: validation and file construction stay in middleware. Microsoft Copilot can remain the assistant people already use inside Microsoft 365. OfficeMaker does not replace Copilot, and this site does not publish a first-party Copilot plugin or a Copilot comparison.

Where an organisation connects an assistant through MCP, REST, or a workflow it configures, the assistant proposes content and structure. OfficeMaker writes the Office file. Model usage on the assistant’s side is a separate commercial relationship from OfficeMaker document-service metering, as described on the pricing page.

Security and data handling

OfficeMaker is operated by AI Build Group Ltd. The production website and APIs run on Amazon Web Services and are served over HTTPS. Sign-in uses Amazon Cognito. Corporate and internal SaaS deployments run on separate OfficeMaker hosts with tenant isolation. Organisation files can be stored on organisation-scoped storage where document management is enabled. Corporate sign-in can use the organisation identity provider where SSO is configured for that host, including Microsoft Entra on deployments that enable it.

The Privacy Policy states that document content is processed to produce Office files and is not used to train OfficeMaker foundation models. This page does not claim ISO, SOC, Cyber Essentials or any other unpublished certification, and it does not describe an on-premise appliance. Procurement conversations about dedicated capacity are not a certification mark. The security page is limited to the same published facts.

What OfficeMaker replaces — and what stays in place

OfficeMaker can replace or reduce bespoke scripts that construct Office files, repeated manual assembly, fragile spreadsheet-to-report code, and duplicated generation pipelines that each invent their own DOCX, XLSX or PPTX construction.

The systems around that work stay in place. ChatGPT or another assistant still handles conversation. Microsoft Copilot still belongs to Microsoft 365. The CRM still owns the opportunity. A workflow orchestrator you already run can still coordinate steps OfficeMaker does not own. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint remain the applications people use to review and edit the file. Commercial judgment stays with the people who sign the document.

A practical implementation sequence

Start with one document that already has a known structure and a real audience. Widen the pattern only after that run is reviewed in Microsoft Office and the approval path is clear.

  1. Identify the document workflow, the audience and the facts that change each time.
  2. Inspect the current template, styles or workbook and the system that holds the data.
  3. Define the schema mapping, and which records are filtered or calculated before the model writes.
  4. Generate test files and review structure, formulas and claims in Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
  5. Add approval, storage, Microsoft 365 delivery or CRM write-back where that entitlement exists.
  6. Deploy the workflow, then use run history to see inputs and outputs before you add the next document.

Evidence behind this

Material claims on this page are tied to a mechanism and a public source. Where a figure exists, the limitation is stated with it.

Native Office files

Claim. OfficeMaker creates native Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

Mechanism. The model supplies schema-valid structured state. OfficeMaker middleware validates that state and constructs the .docx, .xlsx or .pptx file.

Evidence. Document generation API

Limitation. Create is available on the public free sandbox. Merge, edit and conversion of existing files are paid document-service verbs.

Middleware and token use

Claim. Doing file work outside the model can reduce unnecessary token use.

Mechanism. Parsing, filtering, calculation, validation and file construction happen in OfficeMaker middleware, so the model works with relevant structured state rather than a rendering program or a screenshot loop.

Evidence. Token-efficiency workflow write-up (15 April 2026)

Limitation. The published figures are reasoned estimates for one PowerPoint workflow, about 60,000–90,000 tokens for a Python/PptxGenJS path with image review versus about 20,000–30,000 for OfficeMaker on that example. Savings vary by document size, workflow and model. They are not a billing guarantee.

Organisation boundary

Claim. Corporate features run on an organisation tenant, separate from the public free sandbox.

Mechanism. Automations, workflows, document management, organisation billing and optional Salesforce write-back are entitlement-scoped. The free MCP surface is limited to create, preview, schema discovery and gap analysis.

Evidence. OfficeMaker facts

Limitation. This page does not publish customer counts, certification logos or an on-premise appliance.

Questions

What would our organisation still operate if we deployed OfficeMaker?
You would still operate the assistant people talk to, the CRM, Microsoft Office, and any workflow orchestrator you already use. OfficeMaker provides the schema, validation and middleware that produce native Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, plus organisation automations and approval where that tenant enables them.
Does the corporate page claim a security certification or an on-premise appliance?
No. Hosting, Cognito sign-in, tenant isolation and the Privacy Policy statement on training are published. ISO, SOC, Cyber Essentials and an on-premise appliance are not claimed here. See /security.
