AI Report Generation Workflow
A report generation workflow that filters data, drafts the narrative from that extract, and publishes a Word or PowerPoint report.
An AI report generation workflow is a schedule or an event, a reduced data set, a narrative, and a file someone can archive. OfficeMaker’s part is the file: a Word report, an Excel appendix, or a PowerPoint briefing. The category page is AI workflow automation tools. The Excel half is automate Excel report generation.
Filter, then narrate
Management reports go wrong when last quarter’s warehouse is pasted into the prompt. Query the workbook or the upstream extract first. Pass the totals, exceptions and commentary inputs to the model. Ask for structured sections, not a blob. OfficeMaker applies the schema and writes the document.
That improves repeatability: the same sections appear each week. It improves audit: the filter is a step you can log. It improves cost control: the model’s context is the report, not the archive. None of those are a promise of a fixed token saving.
Deliver the report
n8n or Make can run the schedule. Zapier can route the finished file. An organisation workflow can require approval. SharePoint or OneDrive delivery is a connector on the orchestrator or on Microsoft Power Automate, not an assumption that every storage API is native inside OfficeMaker.

Sources and methodology
Checked on 7 October 2026. The workflow is a product pattern. It does not cite private customer volumes.
Official product documentation was preferred. “Verify current plan” means a capability was not confirmed in those sources. Products change; recheck vendor documentation before you depend on a connector or plan limit.
